Baracuta

an advertising campaign

For its spring/summer 2015 collection, the fashion brand Baracuta asked Tack Studio to help it broaden its audience beyond Baracuta’s traditional heartlands of mods, skinheads, soulboys and rockers.

Tack Studio responded with a campaign that looked at how Baracuta’s classic jackets could be worn by a wider, trend-focused audience than the archetypal subcultures with which they are most associated.

 

The spring/summer 2015 campaign street-cast real people, photographing creative professionals in London wearing Baracuta’s original G9 and G4 jackets, as well as two new styles, the G5 and the G10.

The images focused on the jackets’ versatility, emphasising the garments as flexible pieces of contemporary style.

 

The spring/summer 2015 campaign followed a successful collaboration with Baracuta in 2013. For this previous collaboration, Tack Studio was asked to create Baracuta’s first global advertising campaign since WP Lavori took ownership of the brand in 2013.
