An urban skate community from Mile End, jungle artists Demolition Man and Benny Page from London, and up-and-coming Nottingham band Kagoule all feature in a short film series produced by Tack Studio for Fred Perry.
Tack Studio worked with Jocks&Nerds magazine to create the Young Heads film series celebrating the ongoing importance of British subcultures for Fred Perry.
Tack Studio discovered genuine stories for Fred Perry by casting real-life members of subcultures to appear in the three short films that documented these social groups and their shared codes.
Young Heads demonstrate how Fred Perry has been adapted by different subcultures throughout its history and is still highly regarded by the subcultures of today.
Each film was published with an accompanying article on jocksandnerds.com and was seeded to Jocks&Nerds’s blogging network, resulting in posts from a number of leading style, music and culture blogs. Fred Perry also published the films on their Subculture website. Each platform supported the Young Heads project through promotion on social media networks.
